March 30, 2011 (Kearny, NJ) Film maker Vic Losick has released his documentary film, In God We Teach, which covers the events surrounding the controversial statements made by Kearny High School Teacher David Paszkiewicz in a history class that lead to intense discussions on KearnyOnTheWeb about separation of church and state.

A preview of the film is available on the film's website, In God We Teach. The website however does not have a listing of screenings as of this article. The preview is interesting and captures some of the tension between the Mathew LaClair supporters and the David Paszkiewicz supporters. KOTW wonders if it will receive any credit for its role in fostering discussions on the separation of church and state. Those discussions are still available on our website. To view those discussion please visit our Discussion Board. Please expand your search criteria to include items from 2006 (the year that the events took place) to view the discussion threads.

A special screening of the documentary will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Cinemas located at 833 Kearny Avenue, Kearny, New Jersey. The special screening is presented as a “thank you” to the Kearny residents who agreed to participate in the making of “In God We Teach,” and will enable them their first opportunity to see just how they, LaClair, Paszkiewicz and the town of Kearny have been portrayed.

Both Matthew LaClair and David Paszkiewicz will be in attendance to give interviews with the press.
