Why was the record
number of users on our Discussion Board at the same time 167 back on December
19, 2006? On December 18, 2006, the New York Times published
an
article about the David Paczkiewicz / Matthew LaClair controversy entitled
Talk In Class Turns to God, Setting Off Public Debate on Rights and
directly mentioned KOTW's Discussion Board. What followed was a record
number of posts to our Discussion Board and increased traffic to the website.
The number of hits to the website kept KOTW busy updating posts. Our
investment in added bandwidth paid off. The Discussion Board is our most
visited part of the website. The Discussion Board contains posts going
back to 2003 and is fully searchable. The Discussion Board itself dates
back to 2001. The posts from the original 2001 Discussion Board (called back
then our Message Board) have been lost. This week we should hit the
70,000 post milestone.
